Most -20 washer fluids contain 30% methanol in them.

Add a 10oz bottle of heet. When you treat that with one gallon of washerfluid it brings the mix up 10% approx, or you could get some 50/50 premixed like the devils own brew

i've heard of people noticing stuff getting gummed up when they use washer fluid with repeated use. I'd stick with pure meth and eliminate the risk.

Thats because they used the wrong fluid..

I think its the purple stuff that has the gunk..

I believe its the red or blue with the least amount.

i dont use washer fluid because

1: i only see +20 stuff around

2: it will turn my engine's internals in to a smurf-like explosion.

that is completely wrong.

the reason people see build up is because they're using a cheaper brand of washer fluid. the company might be buying powdered dye that isn't totally dissolved by the time you buy the container. the gunk is undissolved particles. not using distilled water can affect this too, but color has absolutely nothing to do with it

all washer fluid is made up of is water, methanol, and dye.

Actually, it is not completely wrong..

If you look, the orange bottle has the bug cleaner in it, which the other ones do not

Different colors sometimes = different ingredients.

qft

red stuff uses glycol or some other garbage.
yellow ammonia additives iirc.
blue is the only safe stuff i read on, the cheaper stuff was also better since they didnt use additives.

Considering methanol is almost as expensive as denatured alcohol.

I know heet sells their bottles at 1.75

1.75x8=14.00 however they arent selling like a race shop.

15.00 gallon from home depot i get the Denatured Alcohol from.

Denatured alcohol = ethanol+methanol (not e85)
methanol = methanol

denatured alcohol has a 130 octane rating
methanol has a 123(iirc) rating

they arent pure, plus id hate to have sugar gumming up my valves (if it had additives)

btw the only reason ethanol is undrinkable is because humans purposely put an additive in it to make it undrinkable.
