Meth Problem.....
I have the Devils Own Progressive Meth Inj and 2.7 60s and all that good stuff. I was HP/dyno tuned last week. We did a full pulls without the meth. Then as soon as we started spraying the meth my car was shooting out more back smoke then a diesel and wouldnt even go past 3 grand. I dont know what the tuner was doing but every time we tried making a pull on meth it was doing the same thing. Well the day after all the way to today i can only make 2 good runs on the street, after that i hit fuel cut every time every gear. I hit fuel cut between 4 grand and 55 hundred. Im going back tomorrow to get it fixed. ANYWAYS.....my meth is taped into my intake, about 2 to 3 inches from the throttle body. The tuner said he things meth is dripping all over the MAF sensor. The owner just called me and told me to buy a new MAF sensor just incase. Well the sensors arent cheap..about $125 from the dealer. I dont have $125 to spend on something 'just incase'. I havent sprayed any meth since the tune i even unhooked the meth so i wouldnt accidently.
Any words of advise? Whats the problem? Please help me out guys. Im going back tomorrow to get it fixed...
Please help me out on what it is or what to do.
Thank you
Adam

Unless you have a leak that you can visually see, meth isn't dripping on your maf, thats stupid. I would assume that you are either using to large of a nozzle and you are flooding your engine with meth or its tuning related. I am going to take a guess and say a little bit of both though.
Is the car giving you any rich/lean codes?

Yea if you spray to much meth it will basically flood your engine and cause it to surge/stall etc. I would try a smaller meth nozzle.
However if you are not using meth, but still having this issue, it could very well be tune related.

I have the smaller nozzle on of the 2 that come with it. So i wouldnt think it was spraying too much...
And no no codes...

It sounds like to big of a nozzle and bot proper tuning. When you tune for meth you have to subtract fuel or you are going to go super rich. You can get away with spraying meth with a small nozzle without correcting for it.
But, it seems since you are going back and forth between spraying and not on the same tune that your problem lies with adding too much feul to the motor. Try leaning out the PE by 20% when spraying and see if it helps. Keep a close eye on the wideband to make sure your still in safe AFRs.

what kind of car do you drive?? Ion Redline or Cobalt SS? The Ions suck for water meth getting the MAF wet and it is extremely unlikely the cobalt ones would get wet at all. Like said above, the size of the meth injector is crucial, sounds way to big.

I drive a 2006 Cobalt SS/SC. Its the smaller of the 2 that come with the kit so i would guess its either a 1 or a 2. Im going to the tune place today to try and solve the issue.
