meth question

ok mods are in my sig. id like to run meth but buying cases of it and all that jazz isnt something i would want to deal with all the time. say winters coming up and i have to drive it in the winter and dont care or want it to run meth..can i just stop filling it up and pull the hose? or once i run meth do i have it have it retuned, and take out the meth setup to discontinue meth use?

to take full advantage you have to tune for methanol, if you unplug it for the winter and dont wanna run it, DONT HIT BOOST, I have my meth turn on at 11 psi so I just stay below 11 psi and out of PE when I dont wanna use it. You can get an electronic controller or a vaccum activated valve like I have, its cheaper. You dont have to buy "cases" of it, just find a high performance fuel station and buy it 100% from them and make your own mix. Dont pull a hose, just pull a fuse or the ground, less mess

meth needs to be tuned for after install to see majority of the benefits. not using it isn't all that hard. just don't go into boost. i had a tank last for 3 months till i went to the track, theoretically it can last forever.. i would buy it 5gallons at a time at the track. then i would mix it up 90%meth 10%water in 1 gallon jugs then pour it in the tank. it really isn't all that difficult.

i never got a dyno done before the meth. but i would say i gained ~13whp from it, 273/250 with intake, full exhaust, 2.8/60s, h/e, meth.

but to answer your question yes you'll be able to gain more hp with methanol. its all in the mix though. i was more concerned with power so i went with a stronger mix. if you want the best of both worlds cooling/power just mix it 50%distilled water/50%methanol.

Tuned for meth, I gained 50+ hp on a turbo setup. On my old smaller turbo setup, i went from 322 whp to 375 whp by adding and tuning for meth.
