so today i went to the dealer to get my car fixed because it was running like **** and i had a cel. well the codes were 1 for system to lean which i get all the time and the other 2 were for the mass air flow sensor. well the mechanic took my car apart and took my air filter off and it was covered with sand inside and outside of the filter. and they took out the maf sensor and that was shot so they ordered me a new one. and they took out the intake tube to clean it and where the tube goes through the hole in the fender to the wheel well had a hole from i guess rubbing against the metal so whoever gets a system to lean code you might want to check that out it might be the problem.

 

definitely a scary code, my p0171 system lean was going off so i checked my intake and the stock coupling had ripped a little and folded, letting extra unmetered (and unfiltered) air in. If you're throwing that code or any other, its definitely a good idea to see where its coming from right then.
