Miss-fire but no CEL
2006 Cobalt SS/SC, GM installed stage 3, 57xxx miles
addition: i just filled up with premium 10 miles before this happened...the tank was pretty empty i put in 11.9 gallons
Bought the car about a month ago with no problems and tonight while i was driving home the car "lurched" like it died for a second...then i noticed that their was no power and the wideband was all over that place..about 14-10 lambda, but no engine light came on which is why im confused...checked the oil and it looks great and smells normal, their was no smoke from the exhaust...im going to check coils/plugs in the morning but does anyone know why the CEL didnt come on?? and what else could be the culprit??
Pulled the plugs today and found that the E3 plug on the drives side of the engine was completely melted off...gone and no where to be found which means the engine is f**ked...but still no CEL anyone still have any ideas on why no codes are being thrown??
