I am looking at a 2007 cobalt ss/sc and I was thinking of installing aftermarket exhaust, intake and turbo. Is there anything else I have to do to make it run right? Any turbo suggestions? And also is it possible to stack the turbo over the supercharger or do I have to make a complete swap
use the search feature before anything. it will answer 90% of your questions. there is way too much to type out what is needed and thus sticky threads were made. look into it. your posting in the right section. just skipped over the few important stuff.

Its nice to get answers from an actual person who has had experience with it not just what the manufacturers think

If you want a turbo why not just look for a lnf?
And bass doesnt mean manufacturer. He says look around the forum all that has been done by other members. You can find all that info here

I've been looking at the other threads and it seems like people only post all the million and one things they're running alongside their turbo. I just want to know what is absolutely necessary.

look here, a stickied thread created all by members who are pursuing a turbo swap, have completed a swap, who know what they are talking about. very knowledgeable people in there

and here, for a good general idea of parts needed (not a bad deal for a kit either)
Chevy Ecotec Engine LSJ Turbo Complete Swap Kit from ZZPerformance
-to answer your question, yes a complete swap is needed, you can make a good few hundered back by selling your manifold and supercharger, theres a lot of odds and ends along the way and in the end you will make 350whp easy have fun!
some research would tell you that a completely different intake and exhaust are quintessential for a turbo conversion btw
so before you go and buy some aftermarket exhaust and intake for the LSJ make sure its for a turboswap because they will no longer be valid

That zzp is just a tad more than I wanted to spend but if its a good turbo ig it would be worth it... I've priced out different exhausts but what will make a good noise for this car?
