Motor mount??

Well i have seen alot of motor mounts on cobalts and i was wondering what brand people are going with. How is the Cab during normail driving affected. The mount i had for my Cavalier vibrated the hell out of my car. I mean it sucked.. So i was wondering who perfers what.. O and sorry if this isnt a Performence question, iwant to no spec. for the 2.0 but didnt no where this truely feel under the topics.

If you get a new solid mount I Beleave that is just part of the deal. I don't know yet about the cobalt yet, but did have one a my cavalier and I didn't mind the vibs but I was going more for the performance. A full mount is going to be my next mod on the SS/SC.

Solid mounts lead to a lot of vibration. Just part of the deal to avoid wheel hop.

I have the ZZP billet polyurethane motor mount. There are vibes, when i first put it on and went for a ride i was gonna come home take it off and put it for sale on here. But then i tried a burnout and... no wheel hope. Well now after like 3 months i dont even notice it. But to answer the question, yeah, there is vibration, but for performance it is worth it

J-Body Performance makes the best motor mount on the market at the moment. its custom built semi polished body and bright red poly urethane. Works and looks great.

way better then the other mounts out there that reuse the factory body with the stock oil filled mounts replaced with crappy poly ones

I believe the zzp is a custom peace as well, and it is cheaper.

mine has a bit of vibes now that its colder, in the summer its pretty much unnoticeable.
either way its a very small price to pay.
i would choose a motor mount over a brace anyday, if you plan on modding and tracking the car a solid mount is the way to go.

i had an Rk sport solid mount upper and lower in my supercharged eco cavalier and the vibes were really annoying at any speed, and I dont want to screw up the cobalt like that, a little i can take but I dont want it being that bad again

I bet the vibes are pretty close in both the mounts. Looks wise I think the JBP is better, but I don't care as much about looks as performance so I am going to go with the ZZP becasue it is cheaper.

ingalls torque damper is a nice alternative + adjustable to your preference. on stock settings, i get absolutely no wheel hop (including my mods)

I've had the JBP prototype motor mount for over a year now, the vibes aren't that bad, you'll get a little more cabin noise, but nothing like what used to happen with the cavi's.
i'd say about 25% differance in comparison
