My cobalt is gone.

Well I thought that it was time to grow up a little, and get a more "grown up" car. No offence to anyone on the site. I got rid of the Cobalt today and bought an 07 Avalanche LT2. It was fun modding the 'Balt for the 4 months that I had it, but it would not work for a family or for the hauling that I needed to do.

Geez, you only had it 4 months, sound like you should have done a little more research before you bought! Good luck with the new car.

I understand your change. How old are you btw? Got any kids?

Just trying to understand why you got such a huge vehicle like an avalanche.

People change all the time. I'm not the same person I was 2 months ago. It's human nature and a good thing to change for the better.

Yes, I agree it is a good idea to change as a person. But a $20k+ car shouldn't just be bought on a wim. And one more thing, kids don't just pop up in a 4 month time frame...

I have a family, and heck there's no way they would let me sell the Cobalt (Not that I want to). 2 Girls + Wife and they all love riding in the Cobalt. When we go out, the questions asked, so do we take the Civic or the Cobalt?. All hands point to the Cobalt. Aside from not being able to get some of the bigger items in our cars, everything else is just fine. Hope you enjoy your new ride.

I have a wife and a kid and I'm 35 and love my balt. Plus the wife drives an equinox. I guess I'll never grow up. Good luck with the truck.

That's why I took my rear seat out. Now I don't have to here my friends ask me to move my seat up because they are cramped up in the back...now no one will be in the back of my car

But realizing that you have the responsibility of a father mentally and financially does. Sometimes it doesn't hit you immediately. Not saying this is what is going on with this guy cause I honestly don't know but it does happen like that.

Well Im sorry to be the one to tell you but you just bout one of the least safe vehicales on the road according the national highway safte institute.

Enjoy.

Having seen one of them get git by a accord that ran a red light at 60mph I was amazed at how badly damedged the truck was compared to the accord. Then agen the accord stayd on its wheels while the truck fliped over 3 times.

Later.

Yes I did buy a truck, I have a kid on the way, there is no way that I can keep getting the car seat out of the back of the Cobalt, also, I was headed for trouble with the Cobalt. My wife never liked the Cobalt. It was just time FOR ME TO GROW UP. That is what makes it a grown up car!

Also, I traded in a truck for the Balt and that was a HUGE mistake. I have a house and can't haul anything for it. In the last 4 months I have paid about $300 in delivery charges to my house.

The 07 is a redesign that has not been tested yet. The chasis has been stiffened and the suspension upgraded.

the new avelanches and tahoe's are friggin awesome!!! i love the styling!! i just wish they would have stuck with that basic idea with the pickup trucks. the new front end design i saw looks like the station wagon chevy chase drove cross country in that national lampoons summer vacation movie. check it out...

Don't worry man, you don't have to explain yourself.

You have to get a vehicle to fit your needs and situation. I've been in your place and was one of the reasons I got rid of my sunfire.

Good luck with the child on the way. Kids are great, so cherrish them while they are there with you.

A "grown up car"? I'm sorry but that sounds hella homosexual.

I think most of us understand what he's saying, I certainly do, I'm grown up and still love my Cobalt. I have a 13 yr old, and 8 yr old, and they don't have a problem getting in or out of the car, and like I said earlier they just love to ride in it. Being grown up is more perception, then the kind of vehicle you drive, but I think most of us understand that you need a vehicle that will work for you as well, not that you need to explain u'r self to anyone. I think the Avalanches are sweet looking trucks, so enjoy!

Thats the reason I traded in my 2 door Cavi for a 4 door SS Cobalt so I know what you mean. The 2 door is more of a pain to get in and out of, no where near as easy as a 4 door is.

Congrates on the new truck! But your payments must be ungodly high! Trading in a 4 month old car on a $40,000.00 truck?!? You must have the only $60,000.00 Avalanche around! They are awesome great trucks, but not for $60 grand.

I know the feeling. I had a dodge ram before I had my cobalt. Can't even haul a lawnmower in the balt.

Congrats on the Avalanche the new ones are sick.
