Im not knocking your decision to get the Avalanche, or sell the balt', etc. I totally understand that certain situations make one type of car a bad choice, etc. I haven't had to work on any of the 07 Avalanches at this point, but I know the previous models took on water like a mother.

Things to look for:
That fold-down rear idea was not one of the best. Usually the frame that goes around the rear window glass cracks or breaks, and causes water leakage. Also, the drains for the rear were placed (may still be) under the rear seat area, and are No. 2 pencil sized and clog a lot. This causes the carpets to get wet from back to rear.

Like I said, Im not sure what changes were made to these problem areas of the previous Avalance design. Just keep an eye out for any dampness and look to those areas for problems.

Thanks for the info on problems with the older ones. Most everyone here understands where I am coming from on this. I couldn't see myself or my wife lifting a child seat with a child in it out of the back of the Cobalt.

I guess that "grown up" is not really the way to put it. I needed a vehicle that I would work better for me. I will post pics up for you guys later. It is a really nice truck!

Thanks

Here are some interior pics. The new 5.3L is pretty cool. When you are cruising, it runs on 4 cylinders.

I agree, some wheels would really set it off.

GM did a really nice job with these trucks. I'm happy they got rid of the majority of plastic on it. I love that color...I probably would have gotten the balt' in that color if they offered it

The first thing I did was take one for a drive and listen for rattles. The truck is put together very solidly. I had to order mine in the color it came in. The color is an option.

Now imagine she is a newborn in a seat that is removable. Then, you have to try to finaggle the seat and the kid out from behind the front seats.
