My Exhaust?

Im about to buy the GMPP performance exhaust...should I get a custom exhaust instead or is the GMPP worth it? This will be my first mod and I dont really know what to get. I know the GMPP will get me 12+hp but idk. What you guys think?

The GMPP system is an excellent product especially when you consider what you get for the amount of dollars spent.Crate Engine Depot is the lowest price I've seen personaly at a mere $357 First mod ?..this is an excellent way to go.

OK then...Im sold on the GMPP, Im gonna order it right now...How long does Crate Engine Depot usually take on shipments?

One more quick question...Can you put the stock tip on this exhaust or do you need to buy another tip? Cuz $80 for a damn tip is ridiculous.

need to buy a tip. Stock tip is way too small.

Should have waited for my reply and do not listen to these noobs who posted above me.

Why are you buying an exhaust? For extra power? Then why would you waste the money on a 2.25" exhaust when a 2.5" custom is..

1. Cheaper
2. Sounds better
3. Provide's better gains

Think about it. My custom 2.5" ran me 200 dollars WITH the muffler and mandrel bent pipes. Could have had a 3" for 260

i have a 2.5" custom exhaust with a 40 series flowmaster. i replaced the piping when it started to go to a 2.25". unfortunately mines a crushed bent but a performance shop i bought the muffler at told me that a 2.5" exhaust crushed bent is about the same performance level as a 2.25" mandrel bent. not sure if thats true but i dont think he was trying to lie since he didnt know the place i was getting my exhaust put on.

The only reason Im not doing a custom exhaust is cuz this kid I met when I was camping a few weeks back had one, flowmaster muffler and 2.5" piping, and it sounded like crap. Too dammn loud and a little too ricey for me.

Not every muffler sounds the same and all you had to add is a resonator. Just because one custom job was done wrong doesn't mean everyone's will.

BTW - Flowmasters are GARBAGE. Could do a borla, magnaflow, dynomax{My Fav}

To be bluntly honest, you can get 3" piping from your cat back and have it installed and get more horsepower and be louder for less than a GM kit. I found that out the hard way after I ordered my GMPP exhaust.

I dont think he did his wrong he had midas or some shop do it so Im pretty sure they did it right.

I dont see a custom exhaust getting me 12+hp anyways.

Also, if you don't want ricey then I suppose get a header instead of catback or get the touring GMPP, it costs $100 more but they add a 2nd muffler and its the same hp gains.

It depends what your going for . The GMPP exhaust is a nice exhaust if your looking for a little more sound and a slight improvement in HP . Now if you want all out performance , go with a downpipe and a 2.5'' custom .

I like the GMPP exhaust's , i've had both the performance and the touring , the touring is perfect for a nice lower sound , the performance is loud ... too loud for me thats why i got rid of it . Now i'll prolly get flamed for this but the 12hp "dyno proven" claims while possible .. are unlikely to be seen by every car . There are too many variables that could have shown that increase on that car on that dyno . He could have had countless irregularities to be counted as gospel when it comes to HP increase claims . Good luck with your choice .
