$305 US for that?!?! Holy ****. You could have bought an AEM Dryflow filter, maybe 40-50 bucks, and did the airbox mod and got the same results - more whine and same amount of hp gain. Return that damn thing and do that man and put 250 bucks towards the gmpp exhaust or stage 2.

dont be cheap, CAI looks better then a stock plastic tube, they do get the same results but CAi sounds better, the whine isnt as annoying, and looks better.

So you're saying you'd spend 200 dollars more because you want it to "look" better? Come on bro. That 200 dollars saved could go towards a pulley.

Torque damper, you need to be able to put the power to the ground before you make more...
Then exhaust I say(that was my first mod, then torque damper)

CAI's are waste's on these cars because all the air goes through the intercooler.

It may not gain us much to have a "CAI" but it is definately better than having a short ram right by the engine. The real benefit comes from the increased airflow due to having a better flowing filter which isn't restricted by the airbox.

I wouldn't buy an aftermarket cai but I did the airbox mod and it helps to have a higher flowing filter.

I like the CAI just for looks alone. Yes, I would pay 150 extra just for that look. Just the same that I will pay 70 for the nice strut covers and they have no gain at all unlike the CAI.

Start saving for HP tuners and a wideband. If you want your car to be fast you need both of those.

Wow slammin a guy for buying a CAI and prob shattering his hopes....come on huys it seemed to me that he was excited to share the news that he bought a CAI. Yea he may have paid too much because I paid 90 total and had it shipped. Works fine not too much money and I have the looks. But like everyone is saying a Torqe Dampner is a really good buy it was my first mod and there are no regrets here.

I heard that the bypass will stay open on FI cars. You should take the bypass back and get your money back.

You might want to look into a progress sway bar and DC strut bar. I think for the money those were the most noticeable difference.

who cares if you have enough cash for what you want to do? I love my injen CAI but I got the entire set up for 175.00. I would pay 175 over 50 bucks any day to get a nicer looking intake. The stock one is just so cheap looking and the tube will be much more smoother for air. Force inductions needs all the smooth air you can get.

Smoother air? The air gets sucked into the blower and gets compressed into boost. Your CAI probably wouldn't even dyno 1whp over my cheap setup. As for looks.. Who cares. You don't open your hood while racing. That's such a ricer excuse

I don't have HP tuners and I trap at 106-108 on avg. To many people think they need hp tuners and a smaller pulley then a 2.9 to be fast. Thats just not true. A cobalt s/sc is capable of hitting high 12s without a custom tune IMO.

Well from your last post I don't think its a ricer excuse at all. Your the one going the cheap way out, that sounds ricer to me.

I'm not really worried about what you say since I have one of the top 1/4th mile times from a stock ss/sc and I have the fastest GM stage II time recorded here. 13.6 @ 108 with GM stage II, GM exhaust, and I guess that ricer injen CAI your talking about. And to answer your question before you even ask it, yes my slips are posted and members from here were at the track when I trapped @ 108. Later

So you think you're better then me and more knowledgeable then me because you run better times and have more mods? Someone needs to keep there ego in check.

I'm glad you've ran those times. It shows our cars aren't to be taken lightly.
