Both of those times where on E85.
If you run E85 you will get 300whp on the stock pulley no problem.

my advice to the auto guy. get a shift kit asap. before you put the tvs on the car. also inform your tuner to leave a bit of torque management in the trans. it can live with 250ftlbs all day long. IF it is modded right. you will also need a larger trans cooler.
don't get upset when you don't hit your goal the first time out. you're comparing your numbers to a manual trans car. at the strip on drag radials. your car will be faster.

just an FYI, that quote from Wikipedia is incorrect. The 4t45 was made for V6 engines producing up to 315ft-lb of torque...not 205. The tranny will be fine in stock form as long as you tue it to increase shift pressure during WOT and part throttle. Leaving some torque management in there as area said will also help it maintain even more reliability. A transmission cooler would be a good investment if you're in a warm environment as well.
Celicacobalt ran his at 340wtq (so maybe 380tq at the crank) for over a year before he finally had clutch pack wear issues. Staying under the GM spec. of 315tq at the crank im sure would be perfectly fine.
I had plans to put a TVS on my auto cobalt...but alas, i must sell the cobalt.
Tranny will hold up fine.
