I'm so angry. I love this car to death. How can someone do this. ugh. It's going to the dealer I bought it from to get taken care of. I'm going to ask them to paint it silver.

You should have the police see if they can get prints or something before you take it in, there might be a chance they touched it. In which case you could try and make them the "azzfag" in jail

That really sucks. I manage a paint and body shop. I have seen that type of thing before. More than likely it will not get painted. Spray paint will come right off with some buffing compound, paint thinner, and a fresh razor blade on the windows. They'll probably replace anyweatherstrippings, emblems, and possibly some lights.

As far as the color change goes, do not do it. The shop will tell you the same thing. Unless you have them pull the motor and do the engine bay, take all the panels off and paint the jambs, it will severely devalue your car. More importantly, your paint code will now be useless and you better hope that they give you the new one because if they do not, you wil never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever be able to match anything on the car ever again if it has to be painted.

A complete color change is also very expensive and time-consuming. To re-paint the entire vehicle and do a color change, you will be looking anywhere from $4000-$6000 and it could take 3-8 weeks to do depending on the shops workload.

Ultimately it is your car and your money and I am not going to knock you for any decision that you make. I am just trying to save you a lot of money and aggravation. Besides, like I said earlier. They are not going to paint your entire car for that. No insurance company in the world will pay for that. Let me know how things turn out.

 

hold on for a sec. take a damp cloth and try to wipe it off, could be that specuial spray paint that wash's off cars, my friend did that to me and it fooled me soo bad. looks real but wash's off? double check first but damn kids.

well... if you ever wanted it any other color... here's your chance... I'd find a good shop to do you a custom paint job... maybe two-tone it... the dealer's gonna overcharge for a shitty paint job... believe me, you are much better off going to a real shop that only does paint.

 

As someone else said, spray paint actually does come off. Someone did that to my parents' car about 17 years ago and we got it off ourselves. It takes a little elbow grease but it CAN be completely removed yourself. Bon Ami + razor blade and the windows are clean. For the rest of it, do what was mentioned above and it'll be as good as new.

Their spray control sucks, they did do a decent job on the Badging. LOL, But damn dude that does really suck

 

All I have to say is find them and beat them. This happened to my friends car a few months ago. Some punk kids in his neighborhood thought it would be funny.
The dumbasses where bragging about it like it was so cool.
We found them and Lets just say that we got them back by spray painting their forheads black.

well looking at the glass half full you got some pretty tight racing "vinyls" it gives it that f*ck you look. another bright side atleast they diddnt draw a big ***** on it

 

man that really sucks. I say if you have a problem with someone take it up with them not their belongings. that just shows that some people can be some real pu$$ies. Ive had that happen to me but it was with my cavalier. They poured sand in the gas tank slashed all my tires broke the windshield and keyed the whoe car. Hope everything gets fixed and hope you find who did it.
