Even if they did repaint it, it would never be the same as factory. I'd tell them to total it, if it can't be returned exactly back to oem you don't have to accept it back. That sucks, GL with everything.

I feel really bad for you man, and I know the feeling.. you feel violated. Happened to me but not nearly as bad as that. When it happened to my Ion, goo gone took it right off. I dont know if that has anything to do with my car being polymer, but you should give it a try. Dont get it painted either, try whatever you can to take care of it first, then make that decision. First impressions on damage tend to be far worse than what actually happened. Good luck finding the punk and getting the paint off

 

WTF?! That's not even remotely close to being totaled. It needs cleaned. That's all. Spray paint comes off. I know, I've seen it done before. Doesn't even have to be done at a body shop, it's a DIY thing. The glass is easiest, but the rest will come clean too. The badges aren't worth cleaning but you can either debadge the car or buy new ones. Everything else can be fixed pretty easily.

 

Dude that is some seriously fucked up ****. Really sorry to see that. Just go through insurance and everything will be taken care of.

 

The spray paint will come off easy, especially if you had a good coat of wax on the car before it happened. Just take it to a good detail shop.

i've done a lot of mean things in my life, but never to someones car.. if that happened to my car, and i knew who did it. that person would need to get new knee caps, a new set of teeth, and bed, cause they would be in traction for a long time......

if you get a big can of mineral spirits and lots of rags and start rubbing it should come off. mineral spirits won't hurt automotive paint eitherso you should be good to go! by the way i wouldn't go with silver. i would stick with stock because if you change it then you will have a silver car with a red engine compartment, door jams, and trunk.
