Everyone is different on exhaust. I personally wouldn't run a 3" without a cat though. These cars are obnoxious without a cat with 3" exhaust. I did a custom exhaust because I didn't like the sound of any of the manufacturers. I also like the Vibrant 3 bolt flanges because they don't move as much as the 2 bolts setups that tend to leak.

I don't run a resonator. I run a Magnaflow 4" round muffler in place of the resonator and a Magnaflow oval out back. Connecting it all I used a Mandrel exhaust SS piping kit with Vibrant 3 bolt flanges. If you cannot weld, you would have to have someone do this and many shops won't weld with stainless wire. I have had 4 exhaust setups now and I definitely like this one the most. But that is just me. I would have liked to test a resonator in place of my first muffler but I just got tired of tearing it apart and welding new setups together. I like the looks of the Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator but I don't know how well it fits in the exhaust tunnel under the car. Some of the guys on here may have it and would be able to tell you how it sounds.
