Yes, if you don't get a header, the EGT's will get so high that a black hole will form in the collector of your stock manifold and suck you and your car into it.

Also look into the vibrant header kit, it includes a downpipe and is 100% bolt on.

Stock manifold is actually quite restrictive. A ported stock manifold will do a nice job, if you're gonna do a header, Clear Image makes a nice mid-length for cheap. Shorty headers are generally a waste over a ported stock manifold.

lmao, at least you took that in stride.

Just get ya a good shorty header is all you need. zzp offers one, and then hahn has one.

www.TurboTechRacing.com you can choose a cat'd version or a non cat'd version (cheaper)

High quality, direct bolt on, and never any quality issues.

A shorty header will all sound about the same (brand does not matter), being you are not changing the downpipe section. It all comes down to quality and or cost.

all the shortys sound for the most part, the same.

the most wallet friendly is on ebay; but it's a hit or miss on if the flanges are warped.

do it right the first time. Shorty header with 3" downpipe. Don't look back as long as you stay supercharged.

The exit of the stock mani is IIRC less than 2"... I have the BadMab header and the exit is roughly 3"...the primaries are bigger than the stock mani too. And its only about 200 on eBay.

But like they said about...gotta worry about warped flanges...

if you did get one and it WAS warped, any machine shop could machine the face of the flange down so you'd be good. You'd still come out cheaper than some of the others, plus, its a stainless header. Mine is a pretty blue/purple/stainless rainbow

I don't see a shorty header on ZZP's site. Did they stop selling them or am I blind? Link?
