need help!!!!!

ok so yesterday on my way home from work I had to cross over a 2 lane highway like usual, but when I went to take off my whole car just jerked sputtered and hesitated like it was missing on 1 cylinder or something, I recently installed a ottp stage 1 kit and I know its installed right, there was no check engine lights or nothing it did it twice, once I let off the gas and hit the clutch I tried again in the middle of traffic she went just fine?????? also my car has been getting worse lately it seems to jerk-slip-hesitate feeling when accelerating and when your slowing down it surges real bad, its not like its a missing spark feel more of a hesitate especially when you start to let off the gas a little....

I also have cleaned the throttle body out, I have checked all my connections, I'm stumped and need help

sometimes cars miss for no good reason, as long as it doesn't reoccur you should be fine.

these are the plugs that came with my ottp stage 1 kit I didn't do anything to them I just put them in

pulled my plugs out they were pretty black and the prong was white I sprayed them off with carb cleaner and wiped them down and reinstalled them, I will see if that helps

lol I never trust plug gaps.. u can get a gauge at any local parts store for around a dollar. reason being is they bounce around during shipping and could possibly alter the gap set from the manufacturer.

I believe you gap them .35 that should be good. Go to any local auto store pick up spark plug gapper like said above. Should do the trick.

you want to gap them @ .035. i have the OTTP setup also. I have been having the same problems. I pulled my plugs and they were black so im running too rich. I believe im fouling my plugs causing the hesitation you were talking about. I have also been throwing a "random misfire" code. Don't know if you were planning to spend the money to have it tuned but thats what im doing. Were your plugs black when you pulled them after running your car around a bit?

most people with the ottp stage kit seem to be experiancing this. local Redline guy had the same issue. He retuned his car with a much better tune and he hasnt had and issue since.

The reason I bought this kit was because it had the tune with the kit and every one on these forms seemed to give it good remarks. I'm in a pretty tight spot my job is not looking to good right now and I cant afford to get my car re-tuned so any tips for now would be great

look for one step colder autolite plugs. my local tuner tuned my car and said when he tried these plugs everything looked a lot better. I bought bkr7eix plugs from ZZP and he looked them up and told me they were labeled as 2 step colder plugs.
