i cant believe no one knows its the theft system. if you turn the key over and the engine dont crank, more than likely its in your key or pass lock sensor.is your security light flashing? and also if you jump across the starter it will start and die because the pcm thinks the car is being tampered with and cuts off fuel and spark.

If you think about it the clue is that you can jump it and it runs. check the main power cables from the starter to the postive post of the fuse box. If that bolt is loose at all you will get exactly what you describe. The other thing that can bite you are grounds again a big ground next to the starter under the oil pressure switch and oil cooler... tite tite tite

i didnt see this part, whoops your pcm is on the fritz, try un plugging it for a minuet, plug it back in and reprogram. you probly got it all locked up with all the constant flashing.

i thought he said it starts and dies, if thats the case that is what it is designed to do when you bypass the ignition switch.

if no theft light, or security dtc set in pcm and bcm, than your going to need a pcm

i am a gm tech and the first rule when programming is put a batt. charger on it. i have fried pcm.s in the past due to low voltage while programming, you should keep batt voltage around 12.6. maybe this happend to you? maybe not?
