Exclamation Need Help

hey guys im in the process of putting on the GMPP manifold, but am having a very hard time getting the stock nut-bolt out of the flex pipe flange and the stock manifold. for those who have taken off the stock manifold is there a trick to doing this. i have gotten nut off, pulled one stud out, and can not get the 3rd one to budge. i have soaked them with PB blaster, but the just get harder to turn the further they come out. please help and Merry Christmas!

I had this problem in a my truck before. I went out and bought a cheap socket that was in Metric size, and a smidge too small. Then I hammered it onto the nut.
If you've got a socket wrench that wont snap( Or I just used a monkey wrench, since the socket was gone anyway.), and enough leverage, it'll either come off or snap the head off. If the second one happens, it wasn't going to come out anyway.

Then again I may have what you described completely wrong in my head, In that case, just ignore me like everybody else does. Good luck!

Yes the secret is... get a friend who can bench a fair amount (250+) and have him break that bitch loose. A buddy of mine who can bench 275 got under there, and practically lifted the motor out of the car, then BOOM the bolt broke loose. Thats after 2 straight days of being soaked in WD-40.

Yeah, the only ones that gave me trouble, were on the collector of the manifold. The bolts that go into the head wern't that difficult. The ones on the far driver side are a bitch because there is .00000001 square inches of room to work with

PB Blaster works better than WD40. let that sit for 20 minutes and you should be ok.

Cool, have you tried a breaker bar, or will it not fit in there?
