Grow a pair and learn to push the "limits". The motor will handle it just fine. I've been pumping huge shots of nitrous through LSJs for over 5 years now.

ive pushed limits before, in fact ive done it alot. But as stated before its not a good idea. If tuning was all about pushing the limits, no one would have a stock engine. Theyd all be blown. Ive tuned lsjs since 06 so i guess 5 years as well, tHIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HAVING EXPEREINCE OR THE WILL TO MAKE SOMETHING OVER AGRESSIVE, IT HAS TO DO with being smart. Doing a 100 shot on a tvs is by far a idiotic move on a stock bottom end. Would i do it, yeah if i didnt care about my engine. Or if the customer wanted it. And about pushing the limits ive push ls series to the limits, builts and not. Ive tuned my old supra stock block 1jz swaped and made 560rwhp, hondas ect, BASICALLY ANYTHING. So i know what im doing and i have big cocunuts lol. Nothing against you at all, im glad you did the 100 shot and a tvs, but im about making engines last and knowing boudaries.......

Idk man. I thought you were down with things, you seem a bit more timid than I thought. I have also dabbled in the supra world with a 96 2JZ 6-speed swapped targa running AEM EMS (though admittedly I am not a certified EMS tuner) and 8 channel twin fire, as well as standard BPUs. Churned out 428/398 on the stock twins and bottom end. Do you think people in the Supra world were scared to push those limits 10 years ago? Nope. You seem pretty new to the Ecotec game, have a little faith ;-)

lol lol lol im not new to tuning or the world of anything, Went to high school specially for automotive, went to college for automotive engieneering, and went to itt for tuning, lexus toyota paid for it. Im not new at all to ecotecs... And about pushing limits, il say a little that ive done. Ive tuned a supra up here with a built botom end and top end, using the gt40 got 1500whp, and now hes moved somewhere else in the country. I used emanage ultimate. Ive tuned a 427 stroker c5 vette and made 750 whp , ive tuned a b16a1 civic with a gt30 swap using chrome. I just dont like going the limits. I know i coukd have made more power for the cars ive tuned. But i talk with my customers and let them know what is possible if i do go the limits, and i tell them i dont mind, but they otta know the factors. Ive tuned my tc prob to the extremes, but ive never dynoed it. My lsj i tuned i did go to the limit with it, sorta how i dont own it anymore. A buddy of mine was driving it, and we were doing about 85, He got on it and span to about 100ish and when it got traction, it snapped the drivers side axel, can you say hello 15 ft drop offinto a ditch.. lol

if you want the most get the tvs, get the 125 shot, and meth 2.8 pully 80s, a 100% on tune, and go for it.

Bang for the buck as a dyno queen? Get yourself a 2.7 pulley, dump a 150 shot of nitrous in with a 100% C16 mix in the tank, crank up your timing, and hope to god the clutch holds on the dyno. If you can keep knock at bay and the heat soak down you will bang 400whp/400+ft.lbs. all day long like that and it won't even cost you $500 for a nitrous system with a full 10lb bottle and 5 gallons of C16. The head studs and rods will be fine. You may want some new bearings down the road though.

Plus you will get to do this at 40mph even with 245/45R17 Nitto NT555R drag tires: (Hear the tires and see the back end squat? It's even lowered on B+Gs)
YouTube - Z06 vs Redline, too much tire spin.

Slobalt6969, is DGR performance familiar with tuning your type of vehicle and the mods you will be throwing at them? I would find out first. Nothing worse than someone tuning a platform that they are unfamiliar with.
