Need help choosing correct pistons for my build

I am planning on putting a 100 Shot of N20 to my car. I know i have to replace the pistons, studs, and gasket but im unsure on which pistons and what compression to use for this build. My current mods are 2.7 pulley, CAI, 3'' Downpipe no cat and 3'' exhaust, Meth injection, and 42lbs injectors (i will also be getting 60lbs). If any one has any sugestions i would appreciat the help. Thanks

i'd keep same compression (8.9:1) and go w/ diamond pistons... those are the ones GM seems to like. if you up compression you're going to make mad power but you also risk the chance of blowing **** up big time.

thats i nice list, i would personaly go with diamond pistons, and yes stick with the stock compression ratio. thats alot of n20 your going to be throwing at your motor you might want to think about getting some head work done. push rods, valves, ect... your going to be throwing alot at your motor. oh and if you have stock drive shafts get rid of them.

8.5:1 Forged for high boost applications.

Mahle makes our stock pistons so their forged pistons will be a good fit. My understanding is that the forged ones they make are 8.5:1, a reduction in compression allowing for the boost you want to throw at them with a 100 shot.

As far as strenth how do you think they messure up to the Dimond Pistions? Will the Mahle pistions hold up for my build?

If he keeps the same compression, he'd be sticking with 9.5:1...but those diamonds are still a solid choice.

I know the dimond pistons are a good choice but if i can save $200 for the same strenth, i think the mahle might be a better choice. I just don't know how much hp. they can hold.

Honestly, I think any decent forged piston should handle the power levels you're looking for without a problem. Instead, look at the compression ratios...higher compression is more potential power, but obviously there are other limiting factors, like quality of fuel, cooling, etc.

I think an 8.5:1 is a very safe bet, especially if you still plan on using the car as your every-day transportation. 9.0 - 9.5 is probably workable, but tuning could be pretty time-consuming.

You're still going to stick with the 2.7, right? If anything smaller, then I'd just say get the 8.5 pistons and call it a day.

Mahle makes great pistons. I think Selfinfliction used them on his full turbo swap build. Mahle has been around for quite awhile and makes damn good products. You may also want to check with JE pistons as well. Either way, as long as it's forged you should be good. I would custom order a set to the 9.5:1 compression ratio though.

Just to let you know, after 350 hp on nitrous, the car can no longer breathe, and will no longer make power on nitrous, there are too many byproducts of nitrous, and the exhaust ports cannot dispose of it fast enough

Well i figure after the 100 shot i shouldn't be much over 350whp so im not too worried about that.
