Need help with exhaust ......

The flex joint in my stock downpipe started to separate and is basically about to fall off . I have a ZZP downpipe on the way , but in the meantime I have alot of damn miles to drive before the new pipe gets here . Its sounds like old VW bug underwater

The stainless steel on that flexjoint is too thing to weld . So I tried a cheap exhaust repair kit . Which lasted for about 10 miles . Anyone got ne ghetto fabulous ideas that might last me at least a couple days or 1 full day at least .

It's worth a shot right? I mean your alternative is to just ride around with a hole in it. What do you have to lose?

that's bullshit... i would say to have it fixed, but you're getting the new one, so guess it's all good... if it's very temporary, i would fix it up any wayou you can.... duct tape??

The prob with nething with adhesive on it , it burns the adhesive off . The exhaust repair kit I tried had alumiunum tape , and I wraped the hell out of it . Once the adhesive burned off in like 15 minutes it jus rattled on there .

Prolly will give JB weld a shot , I gotta leave this afternoon

Use JB's Waterweld kit. It's a tube that you cut a piece of product from, rolld together mixing the two substances and is totally handle-able (werid sounding lol) fro 2-3 min b4 it starts to harden. Is hard in 20 min. Fixed my exhaust leak with it and love it.

old trick

a thin sheet metal you can bend, wrap it around the leak and use metal hose clamps (1 at top and 1 at bottom)... I have done this as a temporary fix years ago on an 390 V8 LTD .... but have never tried it on a flex joint.....maybe aluminum tape or the JB weld stuff underneath the wrap? if you do the JB underneath... let it harden before you do the wrap.... make sure you don't get the JB weld inside the tubing as it might snap off inside and be stuck in your exhaust.

good luck
