I had this same problem when I bought my 05 so lets see if I can help you out. 77.9 is a stage 2 pulley size. If it's a real gm stage kit it should have some very ugly blue bolts holding it on (modular style). They look like a twisted phillips screw head on them. Next you'll notice you have black injectors (stock are green). I forget the part # on them but if you search or someone chimes in you can verify. You should be able to sit in neutral and rev your car to 7grand before rev limiter (stock tune is 6500). If you have all these things then it's safe to at least say you have a stage 2. Anything else look funny? If you want to dig deeper pull off the drivers side wheel and remove some of the little 7mm bolts holding on the front of the inner fenderwell. Pull it back and see if you have a cone filter or something on the end of it. Might get lucky HTH

EDIT: GM also rates the stage 2 kit as 245 horsepower. Although it's been seen to be somewhat higher (engine horsepower, not wheel).

put your vin number in here and it will tell you what the latest electronic controller calibration information for your vehicle is . If you see the stage 2 part numbers , than it has been registered with gm as stage 2
