ok i must be an idoit i just got my B&M short shifter and i was almost done installing it.. when i started to put it back in the car i realized like the shifter is all the way to the left like not in 1st or 2nd just all the way to the left... what i do wrong???

recheck your cable links and re adjust if neccessary

i'm actually at work now and i had to drive my SUV in to work, i'm so pissed... umm it was like that even before i hooked up the cables i was thinking maybe i need to press in the side arm wit the little pivot ball into the cable connection piece alil farther... maybe ??? anyone know what the hell i'm saying lol

 

You need to adjust the cables, you needed to mark them where they needed to be before finishing install so everything sits where it needs to be, or you did it backwards with your reverse.

 

yea i did mark them i'll just double check when i get home

 

its just odd tho it was over to the left even before i even had it back into the car
