Help i need to know what is wrong with my car. I've checked all the fuses and everything looks fine. I took off my dash to repaint it and connected everything back and then no dash lights and no tail lights that came on. I noticed the dash lights and thought it was just a fuse but that wasn't the case. I didn't know about my tail lights until a cop pulled me over and let me know. I don't have any interior lights either. I've checked the cluster fuse and changed it and nothing. Does anyone know what it could be? Could it be my dimmer light switch has become faulty now? Does anyone know why my dash and my tail lights not work? Anything would help me out so I can start driving at night again.

 

if it was your dimmer switch your tail lights shouldn't be effected (mine went out and it only effected the dash lights)

 

what did you do to get your dash to light up again?

 

i had that same problem i while back, one of ur wires is messed up and grounding out the cluster set, take ur cluster off again and check for any exposed or lose wires

 

im an indiot when it comes to this so bare with me, cluster as in the dash pieces right?

ive checked only he side where the light dimmer is and took it out put it back together and moved some wires back and nothing. I dunno if the other side where my information button could be causing it, since it's getting stuck now when i press it.

 

well mine went out because there was a short in the dimmer switch. I would sorta push it/ move it back and forth and i would see the lights blink on/off. Sometimes i would be driving at night, and everything would black out lol. Though it was sorta cool.

When i took the buttons n such off the dash pieces they had this felt lining on the outside of some of em.. when i took that off the buttons more of clicked rather then smoothly being pressed in. I can bet you probably didint plug a connector in properly. Go reseat all connections you touched.
