need ideas tranny losing gears

so yesterday i was taking my lunch and i did a lil 1st gear roll on when i went to grab 2nd
it wasnt there(no i diddnt mis a shift). so i push in the clutch and there it was. now when i
shift into 2nd 4th or reverse it just wants to pop out of gear doesnt feel like its clicking in
at all. sometimes if i push in the clutch a second time it will go into gear in its fine . theres
no grinding just doesnt wanna click in. so i figured mabye the roll pin is bad on the linkage
and i have the car tore down now but there isnt much play in the linkage and the pin is
deffinately in there good. so now im out of ideas besides mabye just needs re adjusted.
does anyone have any ideas or know how to adjust the cables?? any help is very appreciated i need this thing to shift im susposed to be going to get tuned by wicked in the
morning and dont want to drive 3 1/2 hrs with just 1st 3rd and 5th gear but i will.

to me it sounds like its that roll pin, it's a quick easy fix.

i followed the "how-to" in that link i posted, it was sort of easy. once i got the pin out (it was in 3 pieces) and replaced it with a new one, it seriously felt like i had a brand new shifter.

i think i figured it out. the tube that holds the cable in place that is attached to the bracket on the top of the tranny popped out and the cable was bending. shifts fine. putting it back together to see how it drives

just got back from a test drive everything is back to normal. glad it was just something stupid. diddnt want to take the trans out again was going to trade it for a 09 ss tc but now i dont have to
