need someone to do this

go out when your car is warm {must be ss/sc} pull your oil cap off and feel the air that comes out of it. also, pull your dip stick and check the air volume comming out of there as well.

curiousity is getting to me. i may or may not let you know why i need to know.

thanks!

you should get some air out... a internal combustion engine is just a big air pump.

well the last time i did an oil change i was a tad low so i finished a bottle i had off into it and it started to spray back out so enough air is moving to blow a bit of oil back out of the oil fill hole...never felt the dipstick but will do today

also depends on what motor it is, when i worked for the honda dealer, you knew if someone left an oil cap off of a K24 because it made the same sound as an exhaust leak. My 1992 toyota celica would acually blow every single bit of oil out if you left the cap off, but it did have 240,000 thousand miles on it...

I have a fair amout of air coming out of mine but what you have to realise is that we have a very small crank case volume and the pistons are moving up and down displacing air in the crancase its really not that big of a deal.

most cars have it. Shouldn't be much. Like someone lightly blowing on your hand in pulses.

I assume that means her eyes & mouth are wide open and she is covered in white jello topping.

thats what mine is doing. felt like someone was tapping upwards on my hand very lightly. it was also blowing a lil oil vapor on my hand. my vacuum at idle is 19in/hg
nothing was coming out of the dipstick, which is good b/c that would probly denote fucked piston rings.
