Exclamation Need Technical Help With Cel

Hey i had a CEL and was on my way to dealership to have it scanned when light shut off i went to autozone tonite and had them do a diagnostics scan and they came up with a code saying "SYSTEM TO LEAN BANK ONE" does anyone know what this means and is it bad? car is running fine now and light is not on i would like to know what it means and if it is something bad for my car thanks

Its probably from your intake. I've heard that the SS runs pretty rich to begin with, so you're probably alright.

alrite but car should be alrite? i just dont want to have to worry about any technical problems with the car down the road

I had somthen like that a fuel mixture to lean but I installed a injen intake and found some water sitting in the little MAF sencer I dried it out and havnt seen the light since.

I can't say for sure long term. I throw the code frequently, but because I'm not f/i its not as big of an issue as you guys. That being said, I don't think you have much to worry about just with the CAI.

if you have an aftermarket intake it happens i would disconnect the battery for 30 min. or so to reset the computer.

alrite i talked to a friend and he said its just gonna happen when i drive in boost a lot in the car cuz of all the air being sucked in it screws with the sensor or something like that. and when i was driving out of boost light went away

its a common problem, try cleaning the MAF and air filter, a buddy of mine had an injen intake and switched the injen filter with a k and n dry flow filter and the light hasnt come back yet. ( 4 weeks now)

wont hurt, go to your local parts house and get some electric parts cleaner, dont just use brake clean, and remove your MAF and give it a spraydown.

no problem, as far as the filter, the autozone here had a k&n filter instock, it was a universal one and fit real good.

Actually you are meaning to say AEM Dryflow. Advanced Auto Parts carry them and I don't know if it is a 3" or a 3 1/4" filter that you need. Measure the old filter to find out.
