ok so i loved the sound the car made with the new muffler, but i needed to start eliminating all of the 2.25 piping. i had the same shop take off the 2.25 piping following the cat/catback flange and take off the resonator as well. it is as loud as the flowmaster was now, and its a little raspy in the mid range. i dont really care for the noise in mid range, but up top its decent. i kinda wish i had left the resonator on... sounds like the hahn to me. i might have the resonator put back on

Resonator helps A LOT specially with catless exhaust.

I drove around with no cat and no resonator with a tiny magnaflow muffler for a while. It was painfully loud!

There are a couple of sound clips of a Dynomax installed on a Cobalt at the bottom of this page, although it's a custom 3" system.

I'm not really seeing what you're talking about. Could you paste the exact link?
