THE EXHAUST IS HORRIBLE QUALITY!!!!!!

I went to the muffler shop to install the exhuast and the mechanic told me he has never seen worse welds then that pipe. After 1 hour and 30 min of waiting i get a call from the mechanic. He calls me over to show me that the pipe was not long enough and that the flange was at an angle and over an inch off to the left and that is why a simple 15 min install turned into over 2 hour install. After a long debate the mechanic had to cut off the flange and correct it. He also had to cut the pipe and extend the pipe so that the exhaust system would fit. I then called Altered Atmosphere Performance and told them about it and got horrable customer service in response, they were not willing to help me and would not even consider a refund or a partial refund for such a bad piece. All said and done i would not reccomend this exhaust or this company to anyone. Stay away i learned my lesson dont learn your lesson the hard way. After 660 dollars for a bad exhaust, a one month wait, and a 125 dollar exhaust correction im am completely dissatisfied.

I was going to but. W.e i was too lazy to take pics of it like the bottom of it. He told me to take pics of it and send them to him and see what he could do. I mean the welds dont seem good at all man. But w.e. It sounds pretty nice and it crackles beautiful. However it is nowhere near the quality of 600 dlls. Ill have pics of my car later on tonight with the springs and tip and everything. Also can someone pls tell me how to put the pics like here in my post. Cuz I dont know how to put that.

I've had my magnaflow for about 2 days now. The tone of it is FREAKIN AWSOME! However, it's not loud!!! The friggen resignator is huge on it. If I were to cut the resignator out and put a straight piece of pipe, I know I would make it louder, but would I keep the same tone of the exhaust or would that change?

The tone is waht makes that exhaust so sweet. It's sounds very European I think, almost like a BMW in-line 6 sound. I think loud exhausts are out now. I love the sound the way it is.

The resonator is what's giving you that deeper throaty sound. Mess with the resonator and you're going to get more raspy like a Honda sound.

So which one is it? Did he offer to “see what he could do” or NOT????
I mean if the pipe had problems you call the vendor and try to sort it out.
You claim they have “horrable <sic> customer service” but it sounds like they were at least willing to do SOMETHING. Was it really that horrible? OR WAS IT…

OKay here is everything exactly how it happened. plain and simple.

1) I receive the exhaust and take it to the muffler shop. While im there the installer calls me over and says to me that the catback can not be installed due to the fact that one of the flanges is sideways and doesnt line up with the pipe coming from the catalytic. At this point I call mike and tell him about it. And he doesnt sound to helpful. And says I would have to take pictures and such. He also tells me that this was the muffler shop who could not install it right. Well I leave it at that come over here to the forums and post my THE EXHAUST HAS HORRIBLE QUALITY! Post. Due to the fact that the exhaust had poor quality welds and was also one of the flanges was done wrong.
2) Last night after installing the exuast I start hearing the biggest exhaustleak in the world. Coming from right under where the 2.25 catalityc pipe meets the 3.0" pipe.
I go to the meets and lost to every single car I raced to. S2000, Acura rsx type S with headers exhaust and intake. And I was dead even with a chipped GTI 1.8T. Before I had the exhaust in my car I used to beat the s2000 and the Type S and smoke the 1.8T. Now I lost@@@!!!!!!! AHHH that exhaust leak was killing.
3) So this morning after having my CAFE CUBANO to get ready for the day Ahead of me. I went to the muffler shop again. At this point He lifted my car And I was able to see all the leaks this exuast had. Most of the welds had leaks plus the one where 2.25 meets 3.0". The car was running VEry BAD.
4) I call dave and I tell him about the condition of the exhaust at this point he asked me if 100 would do it. I said no and then I asked him for a full refund, he then replied that no refund could be done since this exhaust had been modified ( the 2 inches that were off had to be rewelded by my muffler shop) He asks me if I wanted another brand new nicely done exhaust. I said yes. After all he made sure I was served well and helped out through my problem. Now the only thing is that I lost 100$ on the installation of the exhaust. However I am happy to know they were there for me and helped out and are giving me a new one.
5) Right now Im just going to leave the leak there and wait for my new exhaust to arrive which I will tell you guys how it went.
Hope that helped WOPONTour. Just dont take it so aggresively next time man. lol Take it easy man!!!!!!
