New to the Scene! Need some questions answered!!

Hey everyone,

I just purchased my 07 cobalt ss s/c this past week and i love it. I am already thinkin about some changes, but everything seems to say that it fits 05-06 ss. I was wondering if things like springs/coilovers and cold air intakes are the same fit for 05-07?

I also wanted to get everyone's opinion on either going with the eibach sportline's or ground conrol coilovers.

Thanks

Fully adjustable coilovers are always the way to go, assuming of course you can foot he bill forthem, as well as the labor charge to take to the ime to four-corner balance the car one they are in...For a quick fix on the suspension, Eibach Sportlines are the way to go.

The other currentmods are universal across the years the oly thing custom would be the tune, but those are always custom to the driver specs.

FYI; don't buy the Fujita CAI. It doesn't fit the 07 model's at all.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your new car.
As far as rates go that you will have to ask at shops near you.

Hows that? 07s arent much different. The break lines are a lil in the way but it still fits. I am gettin the pipe cut to fit but thats a problem wit all years.

my suggestion is stay as close to warranty as possible, go with GMPP, and if ur gunna do springs make sure u are willing to lose comfort and suspension coverage.

it pushes out the spash guard like hell, causing the tire to rub when making right turns, causing the tire to rub a hole in the splash guard, thus causing a hole in the intake. be careful. AEM FTMFW!

Is that only on 07s? Cutting the pipe like the how to says should fix that problem right?

2nd on the Fujita doesnt fit on 07's. Its a terrible fit and doesnt even come close to clearing the re-routed brake lines on the 07's and smashes the hell out of the 45 degree rubber coupler underneath. It also scrapes in 2 other places and cant be avoided and must use some sort of padding so it doesnt cut a slice in the intake tube and the fender liner snaps back into place, but bulges out and hits the tire on hard right turns wearing the hole. I just havnt got around to customizing the CAI with a hammer yet. Cutting the tubing is fine, but you better make sure nothing flakes off afterwards to be sucked into the intake.
