New Spark Plug Question
New Spark Plug Question
So, I dropped off my car for a Stage 2 install today and wanted GM to throw in the NKG's for me(one step colder) and he was very against it. He said the the stock ones were FAR superior to the plugs I got. I asked him about the car running hotter(bc of the kit and I'm planning a 2.8 pulley) and he said some guy had to TOW his car there and it was ..."found that those plugs were not meant to run with that car ...and the stock ones can handle the new Flash and temps. If this IS true then why is almost everyone running the NGK's at a step colder. This is coming from a certified GM Tech.....so I told him to hold off on putting them in for now til I did more research. Anyone with any legit intel?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Just some info on this subject. Two things that you should consider. If gm designed the kit it will work with the stock plugs. Also the plugs that are in the car ARE NGKs. I personally changed the plugs and gapped them at .040 and i am running a 2.8 pulley now. The car pulls hard. Honestly if you want to save money dont change them but since you have them already just put them in yourself if he wont. It only takes about 2 minutes.
