no power

first we thought it was the pump which it was a relay got that fixed, mechanic is saying the power thru the coils is cutting is this normal or is something wrong

car cranks alot to start and when it has started its at very low idle its only done this twice. and most of the times we crank it once it wants to start it just stalls
