Oil in intake manifold? See photo below.

Its probably there is probably a 1/4 teaspoon worth of oil. Just kinda curious because it seems odd and I'm still on my hunt for the random oil leak. I was thinking maybe if theres oil in the intake mani, its leaking through the gasket? I'm not burning any oil, no smoke nothing. Maf is clean, piping is clean, MAP is a little dirty No codes.

IDK still stumped, mainly because my oil level doesn't drop very much for the oil leak that I have, and considering i'm turbo'd.

Finally installed one about 2 weeks ago. this is the first time the intake mani has been off though in a good year, since it got tuned last summer. So it can't really be that much oil right?

when i pulled the intake mani off my lsj for the first time (car was at 70k) it was so nasty i installed a catch can lol havent even noticed oil on my tb. but a lil oil in the mani is nothing to be worried about unless you can prove the oil got in there after the catch can was installed then you have something to worry about

The only way I can think of to get oil in the intake manifold is if its comming through your crankcase vent line back into the intake. The intake gasket doesnt block any oil ports that im aware off, its 100% air seal.

a catch can wont do **** for stopping oil from getting into the intake manifold unless you plug the pcv port in the head because that port feeds directly into into the intake manifold
