Not getting the results I'd hoped for.
My current mods are:
K&N Intake, B&M Shifter, Ingalls ETD, 60 lbs/hr injectors, ZZP 2.6" pulley, pacesetter header, full custom catless 3" magnaflow exhaust, and custom tune. I know my car SHOULD be in the 260-280 whp range, but it just doesn't feel like it. It feels sluggish and lazy. I can't tell if its because my exhaust sounds like a WRX and it doesn't SOUND fast or if there really is something wrong with it. Last night me and steve (Psykostevo) drove and scanned my car, and sure enough on a 7100 rpm run, it made 18 psi with no KR at all! So technically it should be fast as hell, but it just doesn't seem like it. I got to do a road course driving class today, and on the straight aways I was pulling away from a stock mustang GT, but it still just doesn't feel very fast. Any ideas what the problem could be?

i think it may be in your head mustang GT's are no slouch they run mid 13's stock w/ a good driver so if your pulling on them be proud
if you are tuned you should be fine get a wdieband and check your air fuel that could be a problem if your running to rich or lean!
gl bro
get it dynoed

Ah maybe it is my head, I don't know it just doesn't fell fast. I know all the signs point to it being fast as ****, but the "BUTT DYNO" doesn't confirm

ok
has your car ever seen a dyno or a 1/4 mile track?
what are you expecting?
while i love the cobalt SS like a son it is not a skyline or corvette!
take her to the track and a dyno and tell us what results you get. the "butt dyno" can be unreliable at best.

HA HA HA!!! OK FALSE ALARM!!! I found the reason for my lazy sluggish performance! A little thing called BOOST BYPASS!!! I just did the boost by pass mod, took it for a ride, and came back to my house mouth wide open in amazment! I watched the boost gauge and it read ~18 psi from 5500 rpm all the way up to its 7250 rpm rev limiter! I also reached the top of 2nd gear faster than I reached the top of first when I was stock!!! THIS THING IS CERTIFIED AS "FAST AS ****!!!" I'm so glad it was something as simple as the boost by-pass mod!

the thing is that once we get used to our cars they feel slow. That happens to me also, when I install a performance part is feels fast for aobut a week then the car feel normal or slow. Dont worry its in ur head. You kno when u notice when ur car is fast, when u race other ppl and you win. Even my buddy with the Typse S turbo says his car already feels slow but thats becuase he is used to it. he put down 360whp

You should've gotten rid of the bypass with hptuners. I can't wait to hook up the line back into the solenoid when I get my tune. For some reason I don't like the tube being plugged.

For the thread starter if you are looking for more to do, look at cams, headwork, porting blower, Water injection
