Not Sure the exact Problem

I think i have a dead cell in my battery but im not for sure. If i leave my car to sit for 2 days or more when i come to it the battery is dead. And i want to get this figured out before i store it for the winter. I had the same thing happen before when i went to store it last year and i fried my computer when i tried jumping it 1 time. The dealer put in a new computer and said they fixed it but i never really found out till lately since ive been driving my winter beater most times and not the balt lately.

I would take the battery out and take it to someone who can test it. My dakota used to start one day, then the next it wouldnt turn over or anything. It was so odd and I had no idea. I would try to start it and nothing would happen, but 2 min later it would start if I tried again. So I took out the battery and had it tested, it was determined that I had a cracked cell and needed a new battery. I replaced it and all was good from then on. Good luck!

hmm I would just get a new battery, but yours shouldnt have a dead cell yet. I wish I could help more.

what you may have is a parisitic draw. after you have had it running, shut it off and let it sit for a few minutes. check the voltage with a digital multimeter, then unhook the battery and check the battery itself, there should be very little change in voltage. next, hook the use the am-meter function and run it in series with the battery terminal, there should be less than 1 amp of current, any more and you have a draw on the battery. could be comming from a light now shutting of or something like that.
