Not sure which pulley I have.

It has a polished finish, and it is considerably smaller in circumference than the stock one. lol

I got this car wrecked. I put a 30K mile motor in it which has the s/c and stock pulley already on it. If the motor I pulled out has the smaller polished pulley, i'm assuming that the ecu was modified, but not sure. I'd sure hate to run the stock pulley on this fresher motor with some sort of reflash installed. Might be a touch rich depending on the reflash, but most likely not.

Any ideas fellas?

Oh wait, so the stage 2 pulley isn't supposed to be black in color? I thought they were black from GM. I had no idea they were chrome.

Since the Stage 2 kit comes with injectors and other items, how can I ultimately tell if the car has been completely upgraded to the stage 2 platform? I may end up taking the injectors out of the old motor if it indeed had a stage 2 upgrade. Which point on the pulley should I measure, the peaks or valleys of the pulley grooves?

I'm just hoping that this car hasn't been hacked with mismatched parts and will suck in no time at all.

Blue green as in these?:

They're hella green. lol

So it's as simple as this: If I don't see some hella' green injectors like those in the pic, then there's a mega good chance i'm setting on a stage 2 setup?

Hey, I know Honda's. I've studied GM 4 bangers big time, but it's obvious that i'm still a novice. lol

About the 4 or 5 bolt, I can't remember. lol, I just don't recall. I would think it is a 4 bolt like the one shown in the photo above of the s/c. I just can't think of how the blower pulley hub can pick up another bolt hole.

So where the injectors in the pic above are slime green, the stage 2 injectors are black?

As far as measuring the pulley's i'm dealing with, which point on the pulley should I measure? The peaks or valleys of the pulley grooves?

Is the stage 2 pulley diameter 2.9" or 3"? What is the stock diameter?

Stock is a 3.5 outer diameter, and i think it's a 3.25 inner diameter.

Outer is the lip. And I guess it's 3.35 inner diameter. Like i had said I wasn't 100% sure.

So which kit is this? It's supposed to be stage 2, but the pulley is black. Hopefully today I find that the old motor still has the drive belt laying on it, along with the other hub included in the kit.

That looks like stage 2, based simply off the fact it has the blue bolts which iirc is the only company that uses these color bolts everyone else uses silver, also I have the intense hub and pulley which has a 5 bolt hub, GM's is a 4 bolt design.

Okay, here's the break down of what I have:

-green stock injectors
-chrome 5-bolt blower pulley

lol, so I suppose my deal is stock. The dude that had it before had a mega big intercooler sized heat exchanger behind the front grill opening. It was definitely aftermarket. The water or surge tank was damned near attached to it. All that stuff got smashed in the wreck, so these items were barely distinguishable. What does the stock water tank or reservior look like, and where is it supposed to be located?

See guys, i'm more at the stage of trying to figure out what I have left to work with. The car is damned near driveable. I need to study the crap out of some stock pics to see what needs to be under the hood, etc. It's soooooo close though. Everything's painted, but the small stuff is what hurts.

If you have a 5 bolt blower pulley then its not GM or stock, stock pulley was pressed on with no bolts and GMs pulley has 4 bolts

Oh so if I don't have the factory pulley, and have stock injectors, there's a good chance the previous owner slapped on a small pulley and let'ur rip.

Is there a reflash available for these cars that doesn't require changing injectors? This will give me some idea of whether the pcm has been reflashed or not. The stock light-green colored injectors are there. The previous owner also used to have a huge front mount heat exchanger.

A 2.9 is smaller than GM Stage 2 by a small amount. Probably an OTTP or ZZP pulley and hub.

The only thing that bugs me is that I still have the stock injectors. Is there a reflash available that would compensate enough while using the stock injectors with a smaller blower pulley?

This would tell me whether the previous owner just slapped on a pulley and did nothing else.
