NX N-ter Cooler Chller Sytem

Does anyone have the Nitrous Express N-ter Cooler Chiller Sytem installed? if so, give feedback.

... i have my doubts about this product, but it can't hurt. I would like to see what other members have to say.
here is a link from TTR:

dont have it on personal car but have installed it on other cars and test drove it on other cars

it works well and the concept is basic. basically it has a sprayer bar that can spray the n20(nos) or co2 into the intercooler. co2 is preferred. it can reduce your air temp up to 50 percent. this product dose work and you will notice a differnece. on alot of stock cars you can see 15 hp gains not sure about the cobalt but probally 15 20 hp at the wheels. ttr says 52 not sure if that is at the wheels or is engine but i dont belive 52 hp at wheeels is likley. (could be possible just depends on your setup) but its a pretty simple install and it dose work and a 10 lb bottle can net you about 4 runs maybe 5 down the quater mile with co2.

i was planning on a 10lb bottle with CO2.... obviously the turbo honda is an advertising figure..... 52hp is ridiculous, but not unobtainable in the perfect conditions.

thx for the input man

as far as a spray bar you can make some power...we have an SRT-4 stage 2 at the shop and we maxed it out on stock settings with intake, exhaust, MSD coil, water spray, and 100octane mode at 311tq and 292 whp. NX spray bar was used instead of water spray (throttle actuated) and we made 350tq and 337whp, but i sat there for a few with the bottle freezin some stuff up lol so take of maybe 10-15 on each number and thats with just a bar...cheap mod that can do some good....cold air the better, but idn how your plannin to run it on a cobalt unless your using it on somethin else

A friend of mine uses that on his heavily built 99 GSX . I dont know what he gained from it , but I do know it dropped his intake air temps below ambient on his air to air intercooler . I suppose you could utilize that with our intercooler if you repositioned the stock heat exchanger . Put it in front of the AC condensor instead of being sandwhiched in between the Ac condensor and radiator .

For a 100 bux more you could add a 03-04 cobra 2-pass aftermarket heat exchanger and utilize it with or replace the stock heat exchanger and not have to worry bout keeping a bottle filled . The cobra heat exhanger is long and about the height of our front lower grill , it'd fill up the hole niceely ......just ideas . Im at work right now , so I dont have the link to the cobra intercooler Im talking about . PM me if u want it , I will respond when I get home .

I don't know how you would install this on a Cobalt! I guess you would have to put it on the Rad and have it spray through to the heat exchanger!

i would say these kits might actually work... but, you would have to spray it before the runs(not during), and probably a lot of it as well

and as long as it doesn't slush up the cooling fluid, AND don't forget, you'll be spraying through the ac too.

depends on room for a/c lines to the condensor and brackets...could actually be much harder then its worth, or the lines could have the give and some simple sheetmetal work... half hr or a ton of custom...i say just remove the condensor compressor lines and dryer...

Yups I use one but my heatexchanger is diff than the one on the SS. Mine is mounted like a FMIC so it sits far out away from the radiator. Still have not hit the dyno with it yet sadly

Oh.

Anyways that system isn't designed for a air to water system and I don't think you will get what your looking for out of it.

I figure putting a nitrous bottle/lines in your car is gonna void your warrenty if the dealer sees it anyhow
