o2 Sensor/Tuning Questions
I have been looking around at the stickys and other posts but have only found bits and pieces to specific questions that I have but not entire answers.
The car I am buying has a full 3" Vibrant exhaust. So the CEL is on. I know the only real solid way to solve this is to get it tuned and and do an o2 delete. I was also told that while I am at it I might as well have a "wideband" tune done as well. What is wideband tune exactly?
Another question. Before I do any of this I want to upgrade to bigger fuel injectors and a better pulley for raising boost so I can just get it 1 tune to help all of these things. Can I install the injectors/pulley and run it to the garage or can it not be driven at all untill tuned? Because from what I have read I could do the install on them myself.

A wideband is a gauge that you put into the car to read the air to fuel ratio. Without it, any tune that is done will be half assed in my opinion, unless you are using a sniffer at a shop obviously.
As far as the install of the parts it is POSSIBLE to start the car and run it under -10 vac and get to your destination however the car WILL run like ****. Without a proper tune on the car I wouldn't drive it personally, but it is POSSIBLE for you to get there without hurting anything as long as you stay out of boost.
Personally with how easy it is to do it, I would just do the swap at your destination. Make sure you buy a wideband and have it installed for the tune though.
