O6 pulley and injectors

Hello new to the forums and new to the cobalt ss/any 4 cyl. I'm about to buy a 06 ss/sc and it comes with a 2.8 pulley and 60 lbs. Injectors. Will it need to be tuned to run this? I am used to sbe on carb and dizzy where you get straight power without tuning. I choose this car over building a 400-500 hp sbf for my truck.

Hi Mike welcome! If you purchased it with the 2.8" pulley & 60" injectors already on it then more than likely it's already been tuned to the 60" injectors however if I were you I would ask the person your buying it from & if they did say it's been tuned find out where they got it tuned.

it just comes with it. Its bone stock right now. I will be buying hp tuners for it at some point soon as my brother has a sc cavi l61. Its a buddy from the car club I'm in. Its super clean and only 3k for it. I just don't know much about tuning outside of twisting a dizzy and changing carbs for better timing and a/f ratio

You will absolutely have to get a tune and I would seek out someone who knows Cobalts well.

JD is correct just make sure that you do not install your new injectors without tuning your pcm to them at the exact same time, as JD mentioned make sure you find someone that knows are cars. If you don't have HP tuners & you need a Quick in expensive tune you can always get ZZPs tune. If you don't live close you could ship them your pcm & they will tune it for you however HP tuners & tuning your car with the pcm is always better than a canned tune but it's always an option

yeah except the same 4k for a turbo kit to put me near 400 hp I can put into a v8 making 600-700 hp. On carb and dizzy. No replacement for displacement.

I won't go with a zzp tune as that's what my brother has and it sucks. That why I'm going hp tuners
