Lightbulb OBX lsd

OBX Helical LSD Differential Cobalt SS F35 Trans 05-08

anybody hear of this brand? Reviews say they suck but that the diff they made is pretty good. Some guy had one on his 580whp Rx7 (their forum came up when I googled it) And how hard is taking apart the tranny and putting this in?

"And how hard is taking apart the tranny and putting this in?" you don't say? I thought it was a bolt on with magical forces that altered the way my axles worked...

ive read poor reviews of obx lsd's for almost all makes. the biggest problem is improper assembly and poor machining. i read an interesting writeup a honda guy did about taking it all apart, cleaning up the poor machining on the carrier, properly fitting and shimming the gears and setting it up as it should be. its quite involved.

i myself would just keep an eye out for one somebody has removed from an f35, or a complete lsd trans.

Taking the f35 apart isn't something most ppl can do themselves..
It requires many "special" tools offered through Kent More.
Well Im sure Powell can do it with out them. Lol
A friend and i were able to get the lsd out of his old lnf f35 with a air hammer and a few pry bars. The cases didn't look the best after we got it apart but it had a huge hole in it anyways. Lol
