it wont be at full boost at 3K but it'll be making power...

ChevyTech...posted an idea of placing a SpeedMafia Procharger kit for the 2.2L on a LSJ 2.0 for a couple of reasons but over the last month...ChevyTech has fitted the Bracket, fitted the mounting adapter, fitted and designed the intake manifold adapter, fitted the belt for a 2.95" pulley, now its a matter of piping from blower to TB and CAI piping, and then buying the real head unit and tuning and making the numbers

I cant wait to get this done. To bad I had pink eye last weekend or it would be even closer to complete. So, If one more part shows up in the mail then we are set to finish the mock-up this weekend. (also ordered some transformer decals for when it completed!)

Which of the two would work better for our cars. Twinscrew or Procharger (centrifugal)?

There's really no way to say at this point. Each have their own pros and cons. The only thing that can be said for sure is that they both have good potential. IMO, the procharger will be the easier swap and the gains will be nice with smooth acceleration which could prove to exist more easily with the FWD setup and the suspension (As far as traction is concerned).

Ok here is the thing guys. with the whipple once you go that way you can only go back to the stock sc. You wont be able to swap to another sc with the procharger atleast you can go to the c2. thats what you have to remember. You cant put a bigger roots charger on there due to the fact we have bad hood clearance

so i think the procharger is going to be a better idea for those who look to seek different upgrades later

edit:

Everytime you want to swap the roots sc you will have to a) add a new adapter plate b) intake pipe and intake manifold.

Two different animals... it depends on what you want... off the line or up top, the one thats the "best" pushes the most CFM ..

Here my opinion on the matter of procharger VS twinscrew: The twinscrew is good for a bit better low end TQ. But most of us are after top end pull. And the procharger out flows the smaller twinscrews. To get the better air flow numbers out of a twinscrew you talking about a W140AX and that is very large. And to me either way you look at it. Its all going to be top end pull. To get a twinscrew to produce air flow you have to spin it fast just like
the procharger. And with the amount of piping we are using the difference in low end TQ will not be very much.

And you could upgrade past the C2. The only problem is a little clearence. But if you want that big of a supercharger. Your not going to worry about clearence(And if I remeber right, The bracket could house a bigger blower). Your going to worry about breaking transmissions and engine parts. Or keeping the tires planted.

Just my .02 about the comparision.

it all really depends on what you're looking for.

plus the "lag" for the procharger really shouldn't be much of an issue... it's making boost right away.. just not 10 psi ....and it'll give you better traction off the link IMO
