Oil FILTER?????

i was wondering if anyone has changed the oil on their CobaltSS yet. I bought the filter and it does not look like any filter i have seen. and i can not find where the hell the filter is in the first place. if anyone has done it let me know where the filter is. thanks

yea i changed myne today. There is a big issue with oil amount, which is discussed in another section...(the owner manual says 5.0, and everyone is saying 6-6.5...myself, i used 6, and it reads almost full). As for the filter, it's located right behind the supercharger, its a little black hex shaped thing, just loosen it and its off, and you'll see. I said the same thing, "what the hell is with this filter?", b/c im used to changing the oil on an 01 maxima, and its the kinda you just screw on and off. sorry for rambling, just tryin to help ya out.

oh yah, it was a pain to get to that filter, i had to take a section of the intake off to get to it, and make it easier.

it's to the back right of the supercharger, if your looking head on. It's easy to spot. I'll go take some pix.

thanks i would have never found it. THAT SUCKED. I guess next time it wont be as bad now that i found out how to get that filter out. just had to play with it a little.
