6.5 is perfect, that's where it's full on mine. 6 quarts is a tad low. just check the dipstick to see how high it is. if you're scared you put too much, and it's over the fill line, you can always just drain a little out.

THank you I put 6.5 qts in so I should be fine.

Got another question I just went out to check the oil and make sure its just a little bit above the full mark but it has been sitting for 8 hours does that mean I need to drain a bit out?

Just a bit above the full mark. But that was after 8 hours of sitting.

what is just a little? a millimeter or 2? that would be fine. since it's getting cold out, and oil is thicker when it's cold, warm the car up, then check it. if it's still over the line then you can drain some out. if it's barely over it's not anything to really worry about.

Make sure to check out the owner's manual ... I believe it states to check the oil 5-10 minutes after shutdown ... and not after it's totally cooled off

YOu will be fine. When It is cold for a long period of time and on a flat area that will be the most oil that will end up in your pan.

I'm just paranoid because I am going to Bowling Green KY in 2 weeks which is almost 7 hours away from me to drag race at a sea level track.

It really is but a group of my friends from a local forums are going we are just tired of fighting with the altitude and the sucky traction they give us at our local track so we are going to a sea level track the 17th of this month. Its going to be a long ass trip but that is the fathest I've ever been towards west and plus we are going to drop down and go to nashville and club a bit should be a great trip.
