Oil problem Someone please HELP!

Oil problem Someone please HELP!

I just changed my oil, and i already put in 6.5 q of oil..and my dipstick is still reading no oil..im scared to add to much..what should i do??

calm down.. to much oil is better than not enough. did you completely drain it first? did you let it sit for awhile before you checked? i usually put in six quarts when i change my oil so 6.5 i would assume would be fine. if your worried its too much. drain a little from the oil pan and slowly put in more

ive changed the oil atleast 10 times since ive had the car..no leaks no burning..nothing..should i add more

if you added 6.5 quarts already i would say no. the oil had to have gone to the oil pan, unless thats somehow leaking (which you would know) it has to be in there.

i wouldn't even take this thread seriously, the only thing that happened is he left the drain plug or filter loose and it ran out.

#1 he said he "just changed the oil"
#2 if it was burning that much oil, it would look like a locomotive and he would notice it
#3 if that much oil is leaking into the water jackets, the car is so fubar there's no way it's running properly

so that leaves: a loose drain plug or oil filter that is leaking

i only use 5 quarts and it fills up to the dipstick, and your using 6.5, let it idle for a while then check.

if the engine is hot more oil will drain from the valvetrain and rotational assembly then when its cool fyi
