Oil Residue in Intake side of head

Oil Residue in Intake side of head
I took off the Intake manifold to intall the dualpass endplate. I was just looking in the cylinder head intake side and rubbed my finger on it and feels oily. What is the cause of this. No problems with the car runs fine just noticed this and kinda alarmed me. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
