ok. so i dont get it. kind of

ok i know just as a fact that when you open up the exhaust, your peak boost goes down in superchargers. why is that? like in technical terms i mean. and also, i have a full vibrant exhaust and im now only peaking maybe 11.5-11.25 psi. is that ok still?

question #2. so overspinning the supercharger is not related to psi. it is related to the size of the pulley correct? for example: a 2.7 with my exhaust may only generate 16 psi peak and a cobalt with a stock exhaust with a 2.7 peaks 19 psi; both are overspinning the supercharger cause a 2.7 is technically too small correct?

no, technically a 2.73xxx pulley is the lowest size pulley you can go.

You are helping to aleviate pressure with a more free flowing exhuast, hence why your boost may drop slightly

Yes they both overspin the blower as well

the biggest misconception with boosted cars is pressure creates power, were in reality, airflow creates power and pressure is just a restriction. that is why, for example, you can port a cylender head, loose boost and still make way more power.

so do you guys think im making more power with my full vibrant exhaust with a STOCK tune compared to a stock cobalt? even though im losing roughly 1-1.25 psi?

Well, look at what Sharkey said. You are reducing restriction and therefore increasing airflow. Increased airflow means more power. Now obviously you would get more out of your setup by getting a tune, but you are still making more power than stock. Because the Vibrant exhaust is so much bigger than the stock one, there is a shift in the power band, but you are definately making more power than before.

yeah, i def. feel like the throttle response is a lot better and once you get above 3000-3500 rpms in 2nd, 3rd, or maybe even 4th, its a whole new beast aka lot more pull, it feels like it at least
