only 15 psi max with 2.6 pully

i have an 06 ss. engine mods are front mount h/e, #60 injectors, duel pass is going in this weekend, 2.6 pully, k&n cai, vibrant header with catless downpipe, magnaflow cat back.
supercharger has only 3,000 miles on it. its a rebuilt from superchargers usa

i only get about 12 psi. it will hit 15psi right before redline. i live in mn, low elevation, its been about 60 - 70 degrees out. does this sound normal to you guys seems low to me

First off are you tuned, second thing is if your tuned who did the tuning. Also is your ic pump working if not your iat2s can get high enough where it will limit your boost which could be a cause. Another thing is your boost gauge can be bad, or you could have a boost leak.!!!!

Do the boost bypass mod. Almost guarantee you'll hold 19 psi all day after you do. If thats the case then your getting too hot and your car is pulling boost/timing. If so fix whatever is wrong get a better tune and have some fun. Doubt he has vacuum trouble or he would be complaining about idle and or cel's.

U sure about your comment of vacuum... If he had a vacuum leak and was tuned with it it wouldn't. Be very noticeable. Cel could be taken care of by turning the cel. Off.. Op don't pass what i said up i didn't go to college for auto engineering for nothing......... OTE=terry11;5853065]Do the boost bypass mod. Almost guarantee you'll hold 19 psi all day after you do. the car has 18 inches of vacume. no vacume leak. it has a stage 3 zzp tune. i can check my IAT with the tech 2 but the car has low boost still before it gets up to temp. acts like a boost leak but im used to turbos ths is my first supercharged car and dont realy understand how you could do a boost leak test. i ordered all new GM gaskets for the duel pass install but im sure it wont fix it.

Yes a tune can cause a lot of crap.... Take the supercharger off and verify the s.c bypbass butterfly is not stuck open. if good, id start checking your gauge and see if your engine is healthy

im going to have the car tuned. im going to drive to minneapolis and have it done. i was thinking of ordering a 2.7 pully for it instead of the 2.6 ive herd the 2.6 realy doesnt give you much for gains and realy hurts the life of the blower, but i just dont want to tune it and still end up having low boost. i would have all this time and money into tuning it for nothing.
