i tested the boost gauge. i hooked up a mechanical gauge and it is on with the one in the car LOW BOOST.

ok i put in my duel pass, i replaced ALL gaskets with new G.M. ones. and i even got a 2.7 pully to try in case i do have belt slip. my max boost went down to 14 psi with quite a bit lower rpm boost loss with the 2.7 pully. i am going insane and am going to loose it on this car. does my set up just flow that well or whats the deal? what else is there that i can do?

i also replaced the intake manifold in case that was the deal still nothing. is there anyone out there with any more ideas besides a tune the car is running strong and the air fuel ratio is close. the plugs are brown.
and i did the boost bypass mod so that should get rid of the pcm cutting boost. i realy need some help here.

I'm getting low boost numbers on my car and have reason to believe I have bad valves, but your compression numbers look way better than mine.

no its not belt slip i tried a larger pully and i marked the tensioner and the base of it when the belt was off so i could see if it was maxed out with the belt on. ITS NOT BELT SLIP! not to mention i have a new G.M. stage 2 belt that has about 4000 miles on it. there is no signs of belt slip at all.

the tensioner dosent have to be maxed out out and the belt will slip

ok i just put on a oversized tensioner along with the stage 2 belt. and believe me that was very tight. i got it onto the 2.6 pulley. still the same thing.

how do you do it on a supercharger. i have a boost leak tester for the throttle body but how do you seal off the other end to test it?

also i just replaced the intake manifold, supercharger gasket, bypass gasket and intake gasket when i just put the duel pass in. and it didnt fix it.

do you guys think valve timing could effect it? like a stretched timing chain or something. but i supose i would have low vacume then.

I doubt it would be that. If you had a stretched timing chain you would have bigger issues to deal with.

It still could be torque management if you haven't had it retuned

would that realy make a mechanical supercharer spinning at 7,000 rpms drop its boost? even if the management is screwed up the blower is still spinning that fast and pushing the same amount of air. it doesnt depend on a tune. its mechanical. even with the bypass mod to eliminate the pcm kicking boost down. this is what i am thinking anyway. someone please jump in and set me strait if im wrong. i am open to anything right now.i just dont want to spend all this money i have saved for a tune on a car that boosts way below where it should be. but i will get it tuned if thats realy what you guys think i should do. i have an appointment at db performance on the 15th to get it tuned.

dyno'd the car today at db performance, baseline was 225hp after shane tuned it with hp tuneer i got 251.5
