oops 87

so earlier my pops put 87 in my ss/sc..and now thats its empty im going to fill it with 91 and unhook the battery and hold the brake down so that the computer resets. will the car go back to normal and run the way it should or do you think this has caused a problem. its only been driven about 100 miles on 87 so it shouldnt be too bad..right...

your fine. I wouldnt even disconnect the battery cable. Just put the 91 and you will be fine. The PCM would have detected the low octane gas or detected knock and retarded timing untill no know was present. Once you put the higher ocatne gas back in, it will detect that and add more timing. I just hope you drove the car nicely with 87 octane and didnt beat on it.

your fine, your car just doesnt run on full power with 87, you wont hurt it with only a few hundred miles
